Biography
Angela Mannarino joined Gasiorek, Morgan, Greco, McCauley & Kotzian, PC as an Associate, in September 2013. Ms. Mannarino was previously associated with the firm on an of counsel basis, in addition to maintaining her own solo practice. She has been a trial attorney since 2008, and has served as the prosecuting attorney for Van Buren Township, prosecuting misdemeanor criminal offenses and ordinance infractions in the 34th District Court since 2012. Previously, Ms. Mannarino served as the prosecuting attorney for the City of River Rouge 2008 and 2009.
As part of her broader law practice, Ms. Mannarino concentrates on misdemeanor and felony criminal defense in jurisdictions outside of Van Buren Township, disputes with municipal and other governmental entities and employment law. Angela’s municipal practice covers most of southeastern Michigan, and her employment litigation practice covers the entire state of Michigan, in both state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and in private arbitration.
Among the numerous criminal matters that get prosecuted in district and circuit court, Ms. Mannarino handles traffic offenses, alcohol-related driving offenses, and minor-in-possession of alcohol citations, and she also handles expungement of conviction matters in circuit court. In the employment law field, Ms. Mannarino represents both employees and employers. She provides advice and counsel in non-termination situations, including assisting clients with employment contracts, compensation disputes, developing strategies to respond to unlawful, discriminatory disciplinary action, and in escalating complaints of unlawful employment discrimination and harassment. She also litigates lawsuits involving wrongful termination, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, whistleblower and other retaliation, and unlawful non-payment of wages claims, in addition to representing clients in unemployment compensation claims and appeals.
Ms. Mannarino is a 2008 graduate of Wayne State University Law School, and she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2005.
